Jason Plato continues to lead the Drivers' championship but his advantage has been cut to 14 points after Fabrizio Giovanardi enjoyed a strong weekend at Snetterton. The VX Racing driver outscored his SEAT rival in all three races, with a win in race two. Giovanardi and Plato clashed on track for the first time this year in the final race of the day in a move that saw both drivers run off track (left). Colin Turkington won the first race of the day, only to be disqualified when his Team RAC BMW was found to be underweight. Gordon Shedden inherited the win as a result. Tom Onslow-Cole scored his maiden BTCC victory in the final race of the day.
