Martyn Bell: Bell 'on a mission' heading to Snetterton

Barrow-upon-Humber racer Martyn Bell will look to get his Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship campaign back on track this weekend as the series heads to Snetterton for the seventh round of the season.

The Team AllAboutProperty.com driver endured a difficult weekend last time out in the rain at Donington Park and now makes the trip south to Norfolk eager to turn his fortunes around and chase a second top ten finish of the season.

Although Snetterton was a tough meeting for the team last season, it is a circuit where Martyn has gone well in the past, and with a high-speed layout likely to suit his ex-WTCC BMW 320i, he remains confident that a good weekend could lie ahead.

“I’m feeling really good and after a difficult weekend at Donington I just want to go out there and race,” Martyn said. “We had quite a few problems last time out and the weather didn’t make things any easier, so I feel I have a point to prove at Snetterton.

“I’m really determined to get things back on track and we need to raise our game to try and get back to the kind of form we showed at Oulton Park. Snetterton is a good, fast circuit and the BMW should run well there so hopefully we can put Donington firmly behind us and chase some more points.

“There are quite a few drivers who are local for Snetterton and who will want to shine, but they’ll need to shine brightly because I’m on a mission!”

Martyn currently lies eleventh in the Independents’ championship standings but is only five points behind ninth placed Dave Pinkney.
