Fabrizio Giovanardi is the 2008 HiQ MSA British Touring Car Champion. Ironically, Giovanardi endured his worst meeting of the season, failing to score in the first race and unable even to make it onto the grid for the second. He was already champion by that point though, after Jason Plato could only manage fifth in the first race. Vauxhall were confirmed as Manufacturers and Teams champions, while Colin Turkington was crowned Independents champion and Team RAC picked up the Independents Team Trophy.
